Quality Technical Training for the Power Industry

BESC/AME Overview

BESC/AME is a half day assessment of how candidates work in the High Voltage environment. The standards deal with entering, moving around and exiting work areas in electricity distribution and transmission environments. Three separate standards exist for Substations, Overhead lines and Underground cable work areas.

Energy & Utility Skills provides the framework and regulations for the operation of the scheme, is responsible for the industry standards on which the scheme is based and registers candidates on the scheme.

For candidates who will be working on a National Grid site, KeFax can arrange for them to undertake the National Grid Person Authorisation CBT on the same day as the BESC/AME training and assessment.

BESC/AME Substation Training Overview 

The objective is to ensure that candidates are competent to enter/exit and move around the substation high voltage environment safely without causing harm to themselves or others.

KeFax provide BESC/AME training and assessments daily at various locations across England and Wales, either morning or afternoon.
