HSG47 CAT & Genny Training Overview

HSG47 is the HSE guidance relating to ‘Avoiding danger from underground services’ It outlines the potential dangers of working near underground services and gives advice on how to reduce any direct risks to people’s health and safety, as well as the indirect risks arising through damage to services.

KeFax HSG47 courses are designed to cover all elements in this guidance and include in depth practical training in the use of the CAT & Genny equipment used to assist in detecting underground services.

1 Day HSG47 CAT & Genny Course

This course is for personnel who require an in depth understanding of the correct use of the CAT and Genny. Additionally, this course is also registered with EUSR as the three-yearly refresher for personnel who have attended the two-day course.

2 Day HSG47 CAT & Genny Course

This course is aimed at personnel who require an in depth understanding of the correct use of the CAT and Genny and are involved in commissioning, planning, managing and carrying out work on or near underground services as well as the owners and operators of the buried services. This course is registered with EUSR and must be renewed every three years.
