Course Overview

These courses are designed to ensure delegates understand NG Safety Rules and the roles and responsibilities of the Person and Competent Person. Also to ensure the Competent Person understands their responsibilities under the NG Safety Rules when they are the recipient of the Safety Documents with  regard to their working party.

National Grid Authorisation Training Person

Duration 1/2 day

Course aims

To provide delegates with sufficient information to understand National Grid’s requirements for Persons working in Substations/Overhead lines.

To ensure that delegates can recognize hazards and avoid danger.

To prepare delegates for National Grid’s Computer Based Training (CBT) for Person authorisation.

National Grid Authorisation Training Competent Person

Duration  1 day

Course aims

To provide delegates with sufficient information to understand National Grid’s requirements for Competent Persons working in Substations/Overhead lines.

To ensure that delegates can recognise hazards and avoid danger.

To prepare delegates for National Grid’s Computer Based Training (CBT) for Competent Person authorisation
