Course Overview

Safety, Health and Environment Awareness

Duration- 1 day

Objectives

To provide delegates with an awareness of Health, Safety and Environmental practice in line with Health and Safety Executive guidelines.

Outcomes

To successfully complete all assessments against the Ten modules to a level of 80% or above.

Course Content

The course content and delivery specification has been developed through consultation with the power industry. Training material is produced and managed by EUSR on the industry’s behalf. The content is reviewed periodically and consists of Ten core modules and all modules must be completed. The course may only be delivered by trainers approved and licensed by EUSR.

The Ten modules are:

  1. Power Generation and Distribution
  2. Your Responsibilities
  3. Risk Assessment
  4. Workplace Procedures
  5. Power Industry Hazards
  6. Physical Hazards (part 1)
  7. Physical Hazards (part 2)
  8. Hazards to Health (Part 1)
  9. Hazards to Health (Part 2)
  10. The Environment

Who Should Attend

Personnel who will work in transmission and distribution High Voltage environments.

Final Qualification

Energy & Utility skills registration and I.D card, valid for three years.
